This spring I bought a vintage patio dining set. I planned to use it in my sunroom and remove the old heavy dark furniture that is currently there. I called the Salvation Army to come get the old pieces, but as no one would be home for their pick-up, my husband and I had to haul a huge dining table, a pie safe, and several chairs out to the lawn for them. We did that. Then we had to pick up the vintage pieces in D.C. They are heavy glass and wrought iron. We hauled them out of the store, into a van, out of a van, and into the house. So what, you may ask. Well, I will tell you: Last winter, I could barely move, let alone have a furniture-move-a-thon. During my Christmas holiday – spent mostly in bed with lower back pain – if someone had said, “You’ll be up and healthy in six months,” I would not have believed them. But that is exactly what happened to me from my experience with Mind and Body.
I have suffered from chronic lower back pain for over 20 years. During the bout last winter, a friend recommended Pilates. I found Mind and Body and Viraj Pandya in January, and I now no longer suffer. The PT was like a miracle, and the progression to Pilates has strengthened my core enough to support my wayward spine, so it no longer gives me problems. In addition, I have lost weight, look better, and feel stronger. The work has been life-changing, and I hope to stay with Mind and Body for some time to come. Thanks, Viraj!
